Prayer Shawl

Knit one… pearl two… prayer all the while…

Prayer shawls are given at baptisms, to persons in the hospital or nursing homes or on hospice. They are also sometimes given at funerals.

It’s a way to pray God’s blessings for others even when their name may not be known.

Meetings are open to everyone. If you would like to learn the art of knitting or crocheting there is someone available to help you.

There is no obligation to this ministry by coming to the meeting to learn these skills. There are yarns and needles available for you to use and you need not purchase any thing to start the learning process

You are welcome to join our praying handiworkers anytime. They welcome eagerness and a willing spirit to learn these skills that have been passed down from generation to generation.

For more information, please call Carol Hawke @ 541-926-2106. Meetings are held in the Our Lady of Guadalupe House basement twice a month. Check the parish calendar or watch the parish bulletin for more information.
