Religious Education

Religious Education classes for 3 year olds through 5th grade happen on Sunday mornings from 9:45 – 10:50 AM.

The sessions usually begin in September and conclude in May. Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist normally happens in 2nd grade. We do have a special Sacraments class for older children who have not yet received their First Eucharist. Please call the parish office for more information.

Volunteer catechists and aides help with the classes. We sincerely appreciate their help! If you are interested in being a catechist or an aide, please call the parish office at 541-926-1449 or email:

Hi my name is Nicole Krebs, the new Assistant Director for Elementary Religious Education! Our family has happily been a part of St. Mary’s Parish since January 2016.  I am married to Joe and we have 8 amazing children:  Isabel-18, Cal-17, Max-14, Luci-12, Gabby-9, Teddy-5, Benny-3, Emilia-1.  My husband and I were born and raised in Nebraska and we both went to Catholic school K-12. I have a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Development and a Masters degree in Counselor Education.  I worked in Residence Life and Academic advising at Creighton University, Wayne State College, and University of Wisconsin-Green Bay for 10 years.  I have taught a year of kindergarten here in the parish, been a 3rd grade teachers’ aide in religious education, and a teacher/co-director/co-founder last year with Little Flowers Girls Club.  Our family just won international family of the year awarded by the Knights of Columbus for 2019. We love this parish and consider it a part of our family.
